DairySA is supported by approximately 65,000 cows, spread across nearly 200 dairy farms. These farms collectively produce about 474 million liters of milk annually, contributing significantly to the state’s agricultural economy.
Beyond its agricultural output, the dairy sector plays a significant role in the state’s economy, contributing nearly $1 billion and provides employment opportunities for over 1,700 people.

Guided by a dynamic and agile Board of Directors, comprising of dairy farmers, milk processors, and independent skills-based professionals – DairySA ensures that research and development funding is relevant to the region.
